When I first moved to Austin, something inside my body felt… off. My nerves weren’t just sensitive—they felt frazzled, like a subtle electric current was running through me all the time.

My sleep was off. People kept pointing me to different people to help me find answers.

That’s when I met a doctor who had left his traditional practice after seeing patient after patient with “mystery symptoms” that couldn’t be explained by standard tests. Instead, he devoted his life to helping people reduce their exposure to EMFs (electromagnetic frequencies) from WiFi, cell towers, and devices.

He told me, “It’s real. It’s measurable. And for sensitive bodies, it can feel like your nervous system is under constant pressure.”

At first, people told me I was imagining things—even crazy. But my body knew. And the moment I began taking small steps to reduce exposure, I felt my body settling.

5G is here, and EMF is a thing affecting the quality of our sleep and our nervous system.

So I put together 7 Signs Your Body Might Be Reacting to EMFs

These were the very symptoms I noticed—and that many others sensitive to EMFs report:

  1. Restless sleep and waking at 3 a.m.
  2. Feeling “wired but tired”—nervous system overstimulation
  3. Headaches or pressure around the temples
  4. Brain fog and difficulty focusing
  5. Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
  6. Heart palpitations or a racing heart at night
  7. Tingling in fingers or hands, like a subtle current

Not everyone feels these things, but if you recognize yourself here, you’re not alone—and you’re not imagining it.

I got the home screened for EMF exposure. I was sleeping in a room with high-frequency exposure.

When I got to my own place, I unplugged the WiFi.

I spent more time in nature, grew a garden, and added a prayer practice again.

I started to feel less jittery.

What the Research Suggests

Science is still catching up, but studies point to a few important findings:

  • EMFs may interfere with melatonin, your natural sleep hormone.
  • People exposed to EMFs at night often report more difficulty falling asleep and more nighttime awakenings.
  • Brain scans (EEGs) show EMFs can alter brain wave patterns, especially in sensitive individuals.
  • EMF exposure is linked to increased oxidative stress and inflammation, which can keep the nervous system in “fight or flight.”

What You Can Do Tonight

Change your phone settings to one

  • Airplane Mode: All signals off. Perfect for total silence and EMF reduction, but no calls or texts come through.
  • Do Not Disturb (Focus Mode): Silences calls and notifications but allows favorites or repeated calls to come through. Perfect for peace with a safety net.

How to Set It Up on iPhone

  1. Create Favorites: Open the Phone app → Favorites tab → add your most important people (partner, kids, close family).
  2. Allow Favorites in Do Not Disturb: Settings → Focus → Do Not Disturb → Allowed Notifications → People → Favorites.
  3. Enable Repeated Calls: If someone calls twice in 3 minutes, the call will come through.

This way, you silence the world but stay reachable in true emergencies.

Try This Tonight

If you’ve been waking up restless, feeling “buzzed” in your body, or struggling with broken sleep, do this

  • Watch the sun rise and set.
  • Dim the lights
  • Unplug your WiFi
  • Put on soothing music, I like Gregorian chants.
  • Put your phone on Do Not Disturb with Favorites allowed.

This way, you plug back into yourself
